Leave me alone in the kitchen and I’m bound to try unconventional ingredients in traditional recipes – it’s just the way my brain works! Inspired by those little Asian sesame treats, this recipe combines East/Middle East flavors with Western traditional sweet candies.
A traditional, small batch brittle that uses the strong nuttiness of sesame seeds for a unique flavor. The white sesame seeds are toasted as the recipe slow cooks, so this brittle has a wonderfully toasty and nutty flavor. This is our second most popular flavor and for a very good reason – it’s addictive!
Allergen warning: may contain dairy, tree nuts (pecans, almonds, pistachios, cashews), soy and peanuts. Gluten-free kitchen. While there are no peanuts in this recipe, it is all shared equipment, and so anyone with severe peanut allergies should not ingest as peanut oil can spread so easily.
