Our caramels were the first product, even before the chocolates! And it's also how the name Sugar Love came about. These traditional caramels are made with a blend of sugars and fresh dairy. The recipe cooks slowly so that the dairy can caramelize properly (the process is actually called maillard when for proteins, but that's a technicality!) and the last half hour requires constant stirring to avoid burning. Truly a labor of Sugar Love!
